After Wormy was found lying on the ocean floor by a handsome electric eel prince, slowly learned about the eels' way of life, got his voice back by making himself a little scuba helmet for air, and gotten into a Disney romance with the eel prince, he found himself talking to the royal eel family.
"I do love being under the sea, but I can't stay here," Wormy sighed. "My friends are still in danger from the Frankenworms up above. You see, they impale my friends on curved metal poles and drown them."
"That's right, the fishermen!" An attendant fish exclaimed angrily. "And then those worms are used to catch fish, who then disappear above the surface, never to be seen again!"
"Like bluefin tuna," said the eel prince.
"Salmon," said the king.
"Unlucky sharks!" said Sharky the party-crashing shark.
"We've taught the fish to run away from the hooks, but that doesn't stop them from kidnapping the worms," the eel prince mused. "I do have some friends we can call on..."
***
A day later, Wormy was wearing coral armor and riding a great white shark directly towards a fishing boat. The first wave of shark cavalry rammed into the boat, tipping a surprised fisherman into the ocean.
"Ah! What's going on!" The fisherman tried to paddle for his boat, but was stopped by the row of sharks.
"You've been using my people as bait!" Wormy shouted. "If you think it's so fine to feed my friends to others, then I'm going to feed you to my friends here!"
"Wait, there's no need for that!" The fisherman flailed desperately. "Please! I have a family!"
"So will you stop using worms like my boyfriend Wormy here as bait?" The eel prince growled at the fisherman.
A hammerhead shark suspended their head threateningly over the fisherman, prepared to bonk him into oblivion.
"Yes, of course!" The fisherman squealed. "From now on, I'll ABATE AND SWITCH. I'll only use worms on a string from now on. Nice, not alive worms on a string..."
And thus the good worms on land lived happily ever after, without fear of the Frankenworms, and the good fish in the sea lived happily ever after, amused by their new toys of worms on a string.
However, because Wormy belongs to a wildly popular franchise, this wasn't the end of his story just yet...
